This Saturday the Clonmel Tidy Towns committee were delighted to be part of a very special event in conjunction with Clonmel Applefest. They are running an initiative where you can adopt a tree which is planted down along out beautiful Suir river walk. To learn more about how you can adopt a tree (with plaque and certificate) check out their page here.
On Saturday we were planting down in the Gallops, which is an area behind Dunnes Davis Road and it a lovely little area with views of hotel Minella.
It was a beautiful occasion, the stories of the wonderful people the trees were dedicated to were so special. Seeing local community come together at these sort of events is so heart warming but to know that we are contributing also to the local environment is just delightful.
