To promote the town, a new group was formed in December 2023. Clonmel Town Team has been tasked with the express responsibility of rejuvenating the town centre.
We have already had meetings with the Chairperson of the group regarding ways in which we can collaborate and have contributed to the Action Plan drawn up for the town. It was noted in last year's adjudication the amount of dereliction in Clonmel. Dealing with vacant properties is now one of the Clonmel Town Team’s key objectives. The amount of scaffolding in town is testament that rejuvenation is underway. The biggest change has been on the Quay with the partial demolition of the Clonmel Arms hotel. The establishment of the Clonmel Town Team is a very positive development for the town and we look forward to working with them.
