Work is progressing on Suir Island with the development of a public amenity aimed at bringing people back to the island that was once part of the industrial heart of the town.

Much consideration has been given in relation to public safety, durability, visual and ecological sensitivity, budget and maintenance in the choice of materials for the paved areas, amenity areas, seating and pathways. Following delays, we are hopeful the gardens will be open to the public this summer. Supported by Sláintecare Healthy Communities & Tipperary County Council.
